Yes, i am excited!. have been for weeks since i began planning a lilttle vacation for myself.
Today Friday is my last day in the office before my much anticipated holiday.
4.45am i tossed in my bed when my alarm went off, almost went back 2 sleep because i was still tired.
But then i remember, today is my last day in the office for atleast 2weeks and that gave me the kick i needed to stand up and get ready for work.
Got to the office in high spirits, not even PHCN or breakdown of our Generator was going to dampen my mood.
Spent the whole day, day-dreaming of my vacation despite the errands i had to run and the clearing up of my desk. I guess you can say that i already caught the "holiday bug",
I already packed my bags the night before and what a luggage! My vacation is supposed to be for only 4 or 5days tops in Accra, Ghana. But i packed as if i was going away for a month!
Dont blame me, cos i have never being outside the shores of my beloved country Nigeria before. so you now see why am excited about this Vacation?
Will be travelling by road, Yes by road! for one, i would want to experience the trills of such a long journey (10-14hrs i hear), get to see neighbouring countries and most especially cut cost(winks*).
First time i will be travlling out of the country and doing it alone! now you can relate with my excitements of-late.
Already made Accomodation reservations in Accra with a Nice Hotel, though the price is a bit on the high side, but we are in that time of the year where the prices of everything is on the rise, besides i will be having complementary breakfast, access to the swimming pool, Gym and Games room not forgeting Beach visits.
So you can say its a fair deal.
I leave for Accra first thing on Sunday morning, so tomorrow Saturday will be a rather very busy day for me inbetween making my hair, nails & last minute shopping for essentials.
